Work introduction
The third generation Nakata Kingyoku, a leading figure in the blue grain technique
This is a work by Nakata Kingyoku, a master craftsman who continues to use the rare Aochibu technique.
Aotsubu is a technique in which small green dots are painted one by one on a background color using a special tool called an itchin. Kingyoku's aotsubu, which involves painting tiny dots of the same size and evenly spaced, is truly a miracle. Moreover, the clusters of tiny dots create a swirling pattern.

The inherited "Morikin Aobu technique"
Unique pointillist beauty
The third generation Nakata Kingyoku is a leading expert in the "Morikin Seibu technique."
Aochibu is a technique of drawing round dots using a special tool called an itchin. The aochibu of Sandai Kingyoku are particularly small, and yet the dots are the same size and evenly spaced. This unique appearance gives it a unique charm.
The gold leaf decoration, which is said to require a high level of skill, is also impressive with its elegant finish.
Please enjoy the beautiful vessels made with outstanding craftsmanship.
